Friends of Israel Opera FIO (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates (add in website link here) and through our social media pages from which you are accessing this Privacy Policy and through HTML-formatted email messages that we send to you that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively the “Site”). We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of the personal information of visitors to the Site (“users”). This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users. Our privacy procedures have been implemented to comply with the privacy legislation of the United Kingdom.

- To establish and maintain responsible relations with Patrons, Friends and Service Providers and to provide ongoing services

- To send you our Newsletter when you sign up for it, or you sign up to stay informed
- To advise you about new fundraising events and projects that may be of interest to you (provided that you can choose not to receive any invitations or direct mail from us by indicating your preference as outlined below under Contact Us)

Unless required or permitted by law, we shall not use or disclose your personal information for a new purpose not identified here.

FIO ‘The right to be forgotten’ – i.e. the right to ask Us to delete any personal data We hold about you (We only hold your personal data for as long as you wish to remain on the contact list of FIO but if you would like FIO to delete it sooner, please contact Us.
You have the right to withdraw your consent to FIO using your personal data at any time, and to request that We delete it.
We do not keep your personal data for any longer than is necessary. Data will therefore be retained for the purposes of remaining on the mailing list for updates and messages from FIO. Credit Card details will be destroyed after payments have been processed. Bank details will be retained for 2 years.
Personal information provided to us by users is only stored on servers in the United Kingdom.
Disclosure to Third Parties
FIO does not transfer personal information to third parties or Service Providers. Third parties such as YouTube whose content appears may appear on the FIO website (ie to view highlights of perfomances) may use third party Cookies which you can control as a separate action. Please note that FIO do not control the activities of such third parties if you choose to view the YouTube or similar medium, nor the data they collect and use and advise you to check the privacy policies of any such third parties.
In certain circumstances, We may be legally required to share certain data held by Us, which may include your personal data, for example, where We are involved in legal proceedings, where We are complying with legal obligations, a court order, or a governmental authority
Access
FIO can provide individuals with access to their personal information for review or update. If you wish to access your personal information to challenge the accuracy or update it to ensure completeness, you may email us at office@friendsofisraelopera.org. FIO will respond within 30 days of receiving an access request. If under certain circumstances we are unable to fully separate your personal information from that of another individual, we will not be able to provide you with access to your information.
